It is now ginormou...Read Mores!!! And had to move several plants out of it's way. Over 6' tall and 12' wide. It has lost most of it's brilliant color. Mostly green and yellow with small hints of former glory on some edges..tiny amount.
Apparently this is what the plant does when allowed to grow to full stature. Loses the coloring. I read this some where and since my plant has done this I guess it is true. I live in the Willamette Valley in Oregon..everything seems to grow huge!
Anyhow if you take Phormium(probably Sundowner) out of a pot it will probably lose it's color.
