This plant is in the solanum family ( Eggplants,Potatoes,Jerusalem Cherry etc, are in this family of plants). The Lao is an awesome purple lavender in color and very ornamental and is great to eat!! This plant has round fruits are about 2 to 3" in diameter. You don't even need to peel this eggplant when cooking. It has no bitterness in the skin. You will love this pretty plant, which is very ornamental, many people will ask about it. I tried this plant over the years from a few different places that sell the plants/ seeds. This plant is rare to find, I have only seen a few places on the internet that carry these plants seeds. Best of luck if you try this plant out.
