It is the beginning of June and today I just harvested for the second time! I'm hoping to harvest two more times at least! I dry it and enjoy it in the Winter combining it with some of my Lemon Balm for a refreshing tea.

To harvest, pick leaves before the plant flowers, or after it has been cut back and plant has started to regrow.
Leaves can then be used fresh or dry and used later in hot or cold
mint teas. Cut back vigorously if it starts to flower to promote new growth.
Tip: Mints are notorious for spreading and becoming very invasive. To prevent that from happening – plant mint in a large black nursery pot. Cut out the bottom of the pot and bury the pot into the ground except for the top 1-2”.

We grew this in our garden and it was very hardy. It started out in full sun, until an overgrown zucchini plant practically covered it up...Read More. However it still grew and we harvested some very fresh tasting mint leaves. I am a bit concerned about it being invasive, as a lot of members of the mint family are. I already found rhizomes below the soil, so I may have some more mint next year that I hadn't bargained for.
