Does very well indoors during winter if given good light. I inherited this plant from my dear mother about 15 years ago. Have divided and repotted it several time and have started loads of cuttings for friends. My mother always called this her "Easter Cactus" because it usually blooms during that season in my zone 7. Blooms are huge and beautiful (looks similar to an orchid). I think of my sweet mom every time it blooms and how much she enjoyed this plant.
