Since then, I've tried growing over 20 different kinds of roses and most became plagued with diseases and powdery mildew. Not this champ.
It consistently grows gorgeous bubble gum pink, globular blooms and comes back even more beautiful every year. Mine has grown so big it dwarfs the 6 foot privacy fence in my yard and never has any issues with mildew or diseases. With that being said, not every kind of rose gives you such an easy effortless time. This one is my least babied rose bushes that I grow here on Long Island (New York), and puts up with very cold and snowy winters without issue.
My other champions in my climate and location is Poseidon (beautiful purple rose), and Sunshine Daydream (yellow rose). Those three have proved to be winners in my garden. Sadly, almost every other kind of rose bush I have ever planted had to be shovel pruned because Long Island isn't a desirable place to grow roses due to our harsh winters and extremely hot and humid summers.

Ordered this plant two years ago, bare root, on its own rootstock from Vintage Gardens in Sebastopol. I'm extremely pleased with this rose.Blooms heavily in May and then repeats throughout the summer until fall. Nice fragrance.
