Red Japanese Painted Fern 'Ursula's Red'

Then one year the area was engulfed in weeds and covered over with the growth of neighboring shrubs. When I pulled and pruned everything, I was surprised to find that my fern (which had been in deep shade hidden beneath all that overgrowth) was BEAUTIFUL. It looked just like the vendor pics, deep burgandy and silver. With the overgrowth of vegetation removed from around/over it, the fern soon returned to the grey green color. I'm moving it to the shade.
