I have had this shrub rose about 18 years. Moved it once in 1996 when moved to a different house in same town (Zone 6a). I prune flowers ...Read Moreafter first bloom to promote later bloom. Let hips set after later bloom to harden for winter. Prune in spring (early April) to maintain nice shape, remove dead wood. Keep it about 4 feet tall. A bit asymmetrical because gets morning sun on just one side.
