Very care free and drought resistant, fine textured, and doesn't grow very tall - only 24 - 30". It spreads slowly from suckers. The flowers are nice, but not nearly as showy as Calliandra 'Sierra Star'. It does best in full sun. Mine is beginning to be shaded too much by other plants, so it doesn't flower as much as it did at first.
