It is a rhyzomatous plant, with broad leaves, with two main parallel veins. At the top, the leaf splits in two, each half following a vein. Each leaf can grow up to the size of an adult man. The inflorescence is short and dense, looking like something between an aracean or a palmean bloom, with tiny white flowers that has a slight scent at night, which atracts beetles.
This plant needs high temperatures and humidity, high moisture, an organic and well drained soil, and light shade. Great and exotic tropical plant for greenhouses and tropical gardens.
