The blooms are smokey purple, exceedingly hard to photograph, and smother the bush in May and June. Her canes grew straight up to 6'+ the first year. I wrapped them around a 2' circle of rebar stakes which kept her to 3' wide in bloom and 6' tall, and she responded great and threw out probably thousands of blooms, 3-6 in a cluster, opening in succession over 6-8 weeks. If I had more space I would self peg in a fountain shape and she'd be probably 4' tall x 6' wide for me. A stellar performer and I highly recommend.
