B...Read Moreut it has grown into a much larger plant, with prominent yellow teeth and strong, broad, straight-ish leaves. The flowers are a vibrant orange and quite long lived. It also flowers when few other Aloes are flowering. It is reasonably well behaved at the roots and does not sucker profusely, so can be kept under control. This species is also frost hardy, with both plant and flowers surviving temps down to -6ºC (i.e. as temporary winter morning frosts, not as prolonged freezing). However I suspect that it may survive longer periods of freezing.

One of the fastest growing aloes in my garden in zone 9b, southern California. In just 3 years it grew from a small seedling to a plant nearly 3' in diameter and already a stem 6" tall clear of leaves. Already offsetting, too.
