Then it would appear the rigors of our Pennine winter weather knocks it back to the point of almost killing it ever couple of years or so.
i love the colour of this plant it has green and red leaves which stand out brilliantly on a alpine garden. mine hasn't flowered yet but ...Read Moreim sure it will start to spread and when better developed it will probably flower nicely. not sure whether this is hardy in my area but after doing some research it can apparently survive in temperatures down to about -6C (21.2F) so should be fine but if not i suppose it would probably come back from the roots because temperatures dont get too low here.
