Not a reliable bloomer for me, nonetheless when it does flower it is spectacular, the bright yellow flowers are larger than the leaves and show up well on this small creeping plant. Easy (and rampant) in terrariums, also possible in pots set outside for summer. Easy to prop from cuttings, I have never seen a seed pod on it.

That pine tree got cut dow...Read Moren, and the spot where I found it got more, thankfully. I have since, by carefully transplanting seedlings, given it a home along the northern side of my house.
It absolutely cannot take sun. Needs shade, and moist soil at all times.
A hummingbird favorite. If you have this massed in the fall, as I do, you are guaranteed to see ruby-throated hummingbirds here along the East Coast. I read in a bird book that hummingbirds actually time their fall migration according to the availability of the blooms of this plant.
