The plants show signs of cold damage at temps much higher than surrounding plants (turned purple at 37°) and have an odd habit of holding their leaves upside down so that the underside faces the sun. I would not recommend this tomato for anyone with a high altitude garden because it does not seem to handle the large daily temperature difference very well.

A sport from John Swenson's Speckled Roman and both are descended from Antique Roman.
Beautiful shape and color. Extremely firm and meaty, and very mild flavor. One of the latest crops. Yield was low (Zone 4/5).
