Blushing Beauty is one of sever...Read Moreal bells I acquired this year specifically for their resistance to a variety of diseases. I acquired seed from TomatoGrowers. My seeds had a terrific germination rate ( once I figured out they needed heat ), grew well, transplanted well. We had some painfully windy and wet conditions the entire spring, and although these seedlings were battered they survived to become very healthy and extremely productive. Like others have describe these start as an off-white to yellow to orange then end in bright red and usually show at least two of these colors at any given time. These plants rarely produced bells less than 4"x3" with many being much larger with very thick walls. They are sweet at immature stage and just keep getting sweeter. I had problems with blister beetles and stink bugs this year but for the most part they and other insects really didn't bother these bells. It is now an unusually cold October and my plants have not lost a leaf to disease and are still kicking out peppers. For the most part I did not stake or cage my plants and did have some stem breakage during bad weather because they were trying to support such heavy peppers. The plants had very good leaf cover and didn't get more than 3' tall but produced high quality fruit like crazy. They sold well for me at market and had a healthy shelf life. I will be buying these seeds again for next year.

A 1998 introduction from Seminis (Petoseed) it has esistance to bacterial leaf spot races 1, 2 and 3, and tobacco mosaic virus.
