After rain, add to this a strange pink mottling all along the outer petals. The rose is packed with petals, and smells divine, but it's the ugliest thing I've ever seen, especially since I already have a beautiful Romantica white rose in the same bed. If you want a yellow rose, there are others (not necessarily English roses) that are (and will remain) truly yellow.

However, the blooms fade in the sun to white and sunburn easily. Additionally, he has grown quite big and sprawly having been in the ground only 6 months. He may be better off in the back of the border with some shade cover during the hottest parts of our East Texas days.
