I read on the web that it was sometimes prone to disease, but I tried it anyway even though I live in a hot, humid climate with balmy nights where disease thrives. I also planted it in a spot where it wasn't on my drip irrigation line which means that I often forgot to water it. To my surprise, it has been quite healthy.
It's still very small but it is suppose to be a small rose. It would have been nice in a pot because as it is I have to practically lay on the ground to smell its fabulous scent. If you want a dark purple fragrant rose with a medium sized flower but a miniature sized plant, then this appears to be a good choice. Sometimes old roses need a year or two to get established, so it may be that this rose will just get better. We'll see!
