I again put it out in my pond in late spring 2002, fertilized and took it back in as before the following fall. In spring 2003 it did not take off as before but appeared healthy when I put it out. I observed in early summer that it had died. I'm not sure why but it was beautiful while it lasted. This was my first and last tropical lily. I've decided that hardy lilies are the way to go here in zone 5 - while beautiful, the tropicals are just too much work.

Would o...Read Morenly recommend this particular plant to someone who already has experienced a nicer colored blue tropical. If blue is what you're looking for then not this one.
