It's a beautiful yellow with bronze shadings or unusual markings and ruffling on the edges. Every bloom looks different! Mine always has several blooms open at one time and this is only the third year I've had it. It's growing extremely well in part-shade. It does have an odd habit of the flowers opening low on the plant with some leaves being above the blooms -- but this doesn't hide the enormous, showy flowers. NEW NOTE: Into my 4th year with Matt -- this year, despite a bad drought, it has 68 buds on it -- no, I'm not kidding!! Talk about a prolific bloomer -- wow!! The plant is robust with deep green coloring; blooms large with good substance. A real winner!
