They bloom profusely from mid to late summer and this year, on a very wet spring and summer, they even gave me a little flush of a second bloom. They're not fussy about watering at all and don't seem to have any kind of pest problem. The leaves stay attractive through most of the winter and the plant is trouble free. A good choice for anyone wanting a dependable garden shrub.

This is a dwarf clone described as 2 to 2-1/2 feet high and up to 4' wide, but Professor Dirr reports one in his garden that is 3 to 4 feet high and supercedes published sizes. It has pretty white flowers and attractive leaves. Branches are strong and carry the panicles without staking. Ray-flowers are white to creamy, sepals round and entire, flowers are larger than those of 'Pee Wee'. Flowering time is from July to August. Possible that plants purchased from different sources may vary. Bred by Louisiana Nurseries before 1990.
