A long-blooming medium sized plant that grows to 5' - 6' tall. Needs extra protection from the last blast of winter. Flowerheads are circular, blue-violet ray flowers (when fed aluminum sulfate) in a single ring. Fertile flowers are also violet. Sepals slightly serrate. Derived from Enziandom (mophead). Nachtigall means "nightingale." Side buds also bloom. AKA 'Teller Purple'.
