Support may be required as flowers can be heavy due to their size. Grows about 4' in height & 3-4' in width. Give this plant ample space to shine in your garden & be the "star" that it is. Very slow to appear in spring, but leave it be, remember it's there & do not plant on top of it by mistake or pull it out. It's there, just very slow to make an appearance. Should be hilled up with earth & mulch in the fall to protect the root area. Dies back in my zone 5 1/2-6 garden in the winter. Trim off dead branches in late March or early April leaving an inch or 2 so you remember that it's there. Water frequently, at least daily during hot, dry spells. May be a short lived perennial (3-5 years), but worth replanting with new stock. Also available in white with reddish centre, salmon pink, coral & cerise.
