The root ball can be divided easily for increasing the plant. I recommend removing the old stalks before winter sets in, allowing a more tidy spring rejuvenation. It is located in a raised berm rock garden with many other succulents and does not move too fast, just a gradually creeping outward.

I started with two little plants and have since bought five more, and am planning to use it as a groundcover in large sections of my Zone 4 front garden. I can't say enough positive things about this sedum. It's a sweetie!
