Only hardy down to 40F and dislikes temperatures above 85F and prefers light shade conditions. Bring indoors for the winter and prune back to 3-4 buds.
I find it best not to water Fuchsias over the winter until you want to start them back into growth, this will depend on how cold your Spring is, best guide I an think of is 6-8 weeks before last frost date. Don't put them out until there is no risk of frost.
When the growth has started, pinch back stems when they reach about 4 inches tall to encourage the Fuchsia to bush out. Keep well watered and fertilized throughout the growing season.
