Even d...Read Morerought-tolerant plants have a tough time surviving the heat, despite the fact that we have automatic drip irrigation set up. The other two types of iris are barely limping along but Mesmerizer has exploded in size and basically bloomed all spring and all fall, with a brief pause during the hottest part of the summer. It's now the end of December and it's still going strong! The clump, started with just three rhizomes, is so big that I may need to think about dividing it next summer already (I just planted them last fall, about 14 months ago). Unbelievable!
