My uncle, Tell Muhlestein was the hybridizer from Provo, Utah. He named this iris after my mother, who's maiden name was Joyce Terry. (...Read MoreBoth deceased.) Tell was world famous for his iris and he traveled extensively throughout the United States judging floral shows. I remember as a child collating his iris catalogues which were then in turn mailed throughout the United States in the 1960's and early 1970's. They have been a part of our family's garden since then. We love the Joyce Terry Iris!
