The leaves often orient so as to gather pools of water in rain. ( posted some photos to illustrate contrasts and water effect.

A nice, compact, blue hosta. Blooms June-July in my garden.
Trouble-free, beautiful older hosta. Very puckered, cupped leaves and pretty flowers.

Beautiful blue cupped leaves add interest to the garden. Slug resistant, no problems at all with slugs in the two years since I've planted it.
