plant this slow spreader where you can see the blooms up close! large, waxy--almost tropical, they pinched and curled often in our very ...Read Morehot summer. large thick scapes, one per single fan, produced a nice long (30 plus days) bloom season. doesn't seem too fertile in my garden, but who cares when you look that spectacular? seems to respond esp. well to nice fertile soil and ample water (i use soakers on my daylilies) more expensive than some of the older cultivars, but if you give her what she wants she is more than worth it!
