In April and May on old branches it creates round small inflorescences. Later in June and July (or sometimes even August) there are maturing small mulberry-like orange fruits. They are extremely delicious (sweet, with strawberry and mulberry-like flavour). Plant is hardy to some frost (branches are frost hardy to zone 8, roots to zone 7). Plant creates fruits even when it is small (about 1ft = 30cm tall). It likes some shade and moist soil. Can be evergreen or (in cooler areas) deciduous. The variety "Elite" it is female clone, which creates the fruits without a pollination.
In 2015 fruits became ripe as lata as in September and they are remaining on plants to late February 2016 (still fleshy, non dried).
