The leaves are large and silver-striped, the blossoms 4-6" wide and the plant has robust stems. Likes to climb and will rapidly overgrow and shade out nearby plants if left to its own devices.
Undisturbed by squash bugs, squash vine borer and pickleworm. Despite a very wet year, no fungus problems and no disease. Harvest from a single plant was 5 fruits: 43 lb., 35 lb., 23 lb. and 4 in the 10-15 lb. range. If you've got the room and the long growing season needed, this is one tough variety. The flesh is nice and thick and not stringy even at large sizes.
