Now I've obtained Fatsia polycarpa from Taiwan with its more slender leaves and it really is a showpiece. I hope that it will grow somewhat bushier then it is right now. The only worry I have is that of course Taiwan is tropical China, so the winter hardiness of Fatsia polycarpa is somewhat questionable. Hopelfully the coming couple of winters will be mild so it gets a really good head start.
