It is semi-evergreen, losing all leaves but those at the bud tips here in Kentucky. The exciting thing about this plant to me is that it is a heavy seed producer and may be used in making other crosses to impart its already desirable traits. Indeed, bro using the web, I see several hobby gardeners have used it in their backyard breeding programs.
