It was then propagated b...Read Morey Mariposa Nurseries over the next 40 years before it was introduced to the trade and Monrovia Nurseries was the first to offer it to the public in 1990. It is a very reliable mid February bloomer and often reblooms in late spring/early summer. The blooms open a dark orange red and as the flower ages it becomes a deeper rich red. The intensity of color depends on growing conditions and how much cool winter weather it receives during the winter rest period. The evergreen foliage is an attractive dark green with wider and shorter leaves. This is a quality plant well worth growing.
