This is an odd looking arching agave that resembles an octopus. It does not pup at the base but will supply pups on its inflorescence at flowering . Once it flowers, usually within 7 to 10 years, it dies.
This plant is named after its interesting variegation and its original owner Mr. Glass, the curator of the Cante Institute and Botanic Garden in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico.
