Just keep plucking the seed heads & they’ll keep growing. Unfortunately, they don’t attract butterflies or goldfinches in my yard. But I have other plants that do. I’ve often let them go to seed & planted a few of the seeds, but they do not grow. If you want a reliable yellow annual with pale green leaves,this is it.

It has maintained the beautiful green foliage and has continued to bloom those bright yellow blooms since being planted in the hot summer till now, near the end of January. How much longer it will continue this show is yet to be seen. It would be hard for me to say enough good things about this plant. So far no bugs and no special treatment of any kind has been needed.
