It blooms profusely each year with intensely orange tubular flowers (see photo). It is very slow growing and has sculptural twisting stems. Cuttings root easily, but have done poorly when put into the ground. It is not winter that kills them, but summer. We are in a flood irrigation district and I think it makes our "dry heat" too humid for some succulents.
