They do like loamy soil with sand; which I amended my clay with. We have severe winters here on Lake Erie, and they weren't affected at all. I bought this as a baby plant last year. It is already twice it's size. I'll post more pictures of the blooms when they come.
They grow quickly to 3-5 ft. tall and 3 ft. wide. They are 6 ft. tall in bloom. Gets full sun.
There is a patent on the plant. Asexual reproduction of plants protected by the Plant Patent Act is prohibited during the life of the patent.
