Originated as a sport of 'Sunburst', which is thought to be a variegated form of A. davidbramwellii.
Because it looks so much like A. davidbramwellii, I believe that the original sport was a partial reversion from 'Sunburst' back to A. davidbramwellii

It, like 'Sunburst' is thought to be a form of A. davidbramwellii, though its true origin is unknown.
It grows well in full sun and reaches up to 2 feet tall and in the shade will grow 18" across.
It is an opportunistic grower here in No. San Diego county. It grows all seasons, but grows best when temperatures are between 55F and 85F.
