It is a sharp and crisp looking plant, I put in on a table top on the SW facing deck, receiving 4 hrs of strong noon time direct sunlight and another 3 hrs of dappled PM sun. It has been growing nicely with a new flowering stem and 2 new shoots already.
I loved the plant so much and went back for another one. But it was already sold out. So I bought a Curcuma alismatifolia (Siam Tulip) instead. I plan to bring them in and overwinter them in my unheated but bright garrage. If all goes well, seems like these plants can be divided every 2-3 years.

It is amazing how little was available on the internet about this beautifle plant. Each bloom last almost 2 months, the 'flower' was already in deep purple when it begin to emerge from the leaf stem. The stems are thin and sturdy and does not get knocked down by wind of heavy rain like my Saim Tulip does.
Pretty fast grower, a plant with 3 stems has grown into on with some 20 stems in the summer.
