I was wanting them for the hummingbirds. I was so disappointed that I was just about ready to trade them away, when (hallelujah) they bloomed in July this year and there were many that did. There are still blooms on the plants too so the hummers have been able to enjoy them. If it was just a matter of adjusting to their new surroundings, I am ok with it. I have not lifted them for winter storage, nor have I mulched them. I have not lost any either. So I would say that they may even be hardy to zone 5b. I would not say that these are invasive like some other Crocosmia's are stated to be.
