This was unquestionably the best tasting of the dozen or so varieties I tried in 2016; others agreed with me on that. On other matters, I...Read More'd give it an average rating; it was among the earliest and latest producers but had a long hiatus in the middle of the season...got very full of disease but so did the others; as a big tomato it had the fault I see in pretty much all big tomatoes--by the time the last part is ripe it may have rotten spots. Distinctive appearance too, which I consider a plus. Will definitely grow again.

Picked this up on a whim at a local greenhouse. During the summer of 2015 in Salt Lake City with multiple weeks of triple digit heat thi...Read Mores tomato performed wonderfully. It was the earliest to ripen of my 'large' tomatoes. It also had the most consistently great taste of any of my large tomatoes. It's vine was the first to show foliage disease, however, with minimal applications of copper spray it continued to grow and produce good quantities of fruit up until frost. Given it's early production, consistent good flavor, and visual beauty I will certainly continue to plant this tomato every year. Also, I should note, these results were with this tomato growing in an Earthbox. I may try it next year in the ground. I recorded 64 usable tomatoes from this plant throughout the growing season. 72 days from transplant to first picked tomato.

Update: It's been a number of years since I last grew this (2020 now), finally trying it again. My growing experience this time is quite different from last time. The bush is super healthy and very productive. The tomatoes are milder tasting than I remember, but I made some good salsa with them.

The striped fruit is one of the most beautiful tomatoes I have ever seen. I had some nematode damage to the roots but not before it produced a fine crop. Brad's description/history:
"BTD pink showed up the next year as one plant that was mostly dark pink blush in the meat with some pink bleeding to the outside. The next year the dark pink(port wine color) was in most of the tomatoes and I saw no variations last year when I grew a couple hundred plants of it."
