Brugmansia, Angel Trumpet, Angel's Trumpet 'Wretched Mess'

Mine is blooming on the 2nd season after being planted. Beautiful, long doubles, no triples yet.

Nov 2012: changing rati...Read Moreng to neutral as after 3 years I've yet to get a triple bloom, in fact I am lucky if I get 1-2 blooms at all per year. I have experienced a lot of bud drop and that could be due to sudden temp changes. However, my other brugs don't seem to be bothered. It is a big, healthy looking tree so not considering shovel pruning just yet....but I'm thinking about it.

Now that it's almost November the buds are no longer falling off. All the flower buds were falling off during warmer months of 80's to mid 80's. I haven't seen
a triple yet, and hope to see one soon. I'm hoping as the plant matures I'll have more luck with the buds not falling off. I was very diligent with watering daily, sometimes twice a day if really hot, feeding once a week with 20-20-20, which all my other Brugmansia love, and making sure there were no pests.
