The plants reprodu...Read Morece enthusiastically by dropping seeds in the fall, so cut the seed heads off after blooming or your ground might be blanketed with plantlets. It liked acid soil and moisture, but in our northern clime didn't seem to care if it was planted in sun or shade. I even had them make it through 20 below sitting unprotected in a pot when I dug some up and then forgot to replant them before snows arrived. Nothing seems to kill them! They seemed to like the same conditions as most ligularia, Asiatic lilies, lungwort, ferns, spirea and yarrow. I am now trying to find some to try here in Philadelphia.
