It's extremely prolific, too. When in bloom, the plant is completely covered in rich, bright purple-fuchsia flowers that are smaller than the full-size varieties.
I've never had any problems with mildew, not even a spot. It's growing in full sun in a clay bed amended with assorted organics (crushed leaves, peat and compost). I rarely fertilize it.
