It had invaded and we had cut it back with a tractor when we first moved in 4 years ago as the property had not been kept up for several years. We had to reclaim the back fields also. I have been trying to id this plant for some time as I enjoy it as the border to the camp next to our property. I live in Western NY.

I had forgotten i had planted this, as it took a couple of years to bloom. I planted it next to a fence where there is difficult clay so...Read Moreil. The flowers are quite beautiful amongst the other plant foliage growing nearby (coneflowers, goldenrod, liatris). Just wanted to warn fokks that it may take a while for the plant to establish itself.
