Cultivation:
These plants are tropical and frost tender; in all but tropical climates they are treated as plants for heated greenhouses or as indoor plants. In the tropics, give them a moist shaded site in which to grow. Water sparingly in winter. Propagation is by division of clumping species in spring or soft cuttings from shrubby types.
