I've just k...Read Moreept watering it as I do all the container-bound annuals on and around my patio (where this and several other plants destined for the garden are currently living) this summer...which has been cool, primarily, for the NW, along with a late, wet spring, consequently a late summer and beginning fall. Its done just fine living in a 6" nursery pot; bloomed its head off.
I understand it likes well drained soil and light shade. I've got sandy, acidic soil and all types of shade, so I guess I'll see what happens when planting this fall.
My 'experience', above, in the described conditions, has been as reported. It remains to be seen if that continues when I plant into the garden in a couple weeks.
