Subrotunda is similar to coccinea on steroids and even though the blossoms are intermittent and spred out it blooms all season long. It looks best in a large bed with several grouped together for a nice effect. It will reseed and in areas where there is little or no frost it may bloom all year long. It didn't require staking in my garden.
The seed germinated inside in an east facing window in 7 days and I had almost 100% germination. Seeds should be surface sown on moist soil.
