Often called incorrectly Jasminum offinale in Oman and the UAE
Widely grown in the gulf reagion Oman and the UAE for its very fragrant small pure white flowers, 3 cm across borne in clusters. Main flowering time in Oman is late spring into early summer, but with a scattering of flowers over the summer.The leaves are made up of three ovate leaflets. The stems are slender and flexible twining round supports or other plants. Reaches over 3 m.
Drought tolerant but can look poor in the high summer of Oman and the UAE where temperatures reach 50C (122F) however it bursts into life in the autumn when temperatures moderate. Prune out damaged and unsightly branches at the end of the summer to regenrate nice fresh looking new growth. Low salt tolerance. Propagate from cuttings or black small fruits which are attractive to the birds. Transplants are often slow to establish but produce rapid growth thereafter.
Minimum temperature in area 15C (60F) this is a warm temperature plant even at this temperature it does not grow over the winter.

The birds in turn excrete seeds in their poop planting it in previously undisturbed native hardwood forest. There it climbs high into the canopy of mature forest completely enshrouding native vegetation and reducing native plant diversity. This includes rare scrub habitat.
Although it's touted as Brazilian, it's actually from Africa and was introduced by Portugese Explorers.
