And the tree itself was very beautiful. In fact, I'm surprised it isn't used more in the floral trade as branches for bouquets. A Chinese friend I shared the fruit with loved them, and she had only had the dried versions, which are held in high esteem in the Chinese kitchen. Apparently you need to live in places with hot summers to obtain properly ripened fruit.
